Quit Hard Privacy Policy

Short version: Quit Hard collects nothing. There is no account, no sign-up, no cloud, no analytics, no ads, and no trackers. Everything you log stays on your device.

Information we collect
We do not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal information. The app has no user accounts, no login, and no server of ours that receives your data. We cannot see what you log.
Information stored on your device
To work, the app stores the following locally on your device only. This data never leaves your phone unless you choose to export it (see Backups below):
- Your quit date, usage baseline, and cost settings.
- Usage, craving, and slip entries you log, including any notes, trigger tags, and intensity ratings.
- Your taper plan and daily targets, if you use the Quit Hard Program.
- Your personal reasons for quitting and an optional photo you choose to attach.
- App settings, themes, and notification preferences.
Home-screen and lock-screen widgets read this same local data on your device. Deleting the app removes all of it. You can also delete everything from inside the app at any time (Settings → Delete all data).
Backups
You can export an encrypted backup file of your data. The export is created on your device and saved wherever you choose using the standard iOS Files interface (for example, to your own iCloud Drive). We never receive a copy. Importing a backup reads the file you select and nothing else.
Purchases
The Quit Hard Program is a one-time in-app purchase processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your name, payment details, or Apple ID. Apple's handling of purchase data is governed by Apple's privacy policy. The app checks your purchase entitlement with Apple's StoreKit so it can unlock paid features and restore them on a new device.
Notifications
If you turn on reminders, they are scheduled locally on your device. No notification content is sent to or through our servers; we have none.
Analytics and tracking
None. The app contains no analytics SDKs, advertising identifiers, cookies, or any form of cross-app or cross-site tracking. Apple may share aggregated, opt-in crash and usage statistics with us through App Store Connect under Apple's App Analytics terms; this is controlled by your device's "Share with App Developers" setting and does not identify you.
Health information
Quit Hard is a self-help tracking tool, not a medical device and not medical advice. It does not read from or write to Apple Health. Anything you log about your habit is stored only as described above.
Children's privacy
Quit Hard is intended for adults who want to quit nicotine. It collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Because the app collects no data, changes are expected to be rare and limited to clarifications.
